Multiple Playlists was created by mericksen
I am looking to create a website that has a lot of teaching on it both audio and video. I wold like to create multiple playlist for different teaching series, but am not really sure how to do this. I have never created a playlist before and coding is foreign to me as of now. Once I create the different playlist files, I am not sure how to put them on the module. Once they are on the module I am not sure how to put the playlist in the article that I want it to be in.

Like I said, I have no experience in this except that I know how to use joomla basic features. I read the document pdf for playlist, but still unsure of how to precede.
Thanks

How to set up your playlist using a XML Playlist (No items limit) :

1. Go to the admin Management of the Module, Select JW Player Module, edit it.

2. Click on right panel : "Playlist Parameters" (J!1.6 to 2.5) or "Module Parameters" (J!1.5)

3. Set the "Select origin of the playlist/Single File" list to "RSS Link"

4. Set in the field "Link of your RSS File/Single File" the url to your playlist file, i.e. :
www.joomlarulez.com/images/stories/playl...y/big_buck_bunny.xml

5. If you don't know to build a XML playlist, you can read the dedicate chapter on the documentation of the module or read the Longtail video documentation :
www.longtailvideo.com/support/jw-player/...xml-playlist-support

6. Click on "Save" or "Apply" and check if the module have correctly display your playlist.

Thanks for your help, but still need a little more clarity. I see the turorials of how to create a xml playlist, but where I am confused is all the examples I see look like they are for one playlist. I see multimple items on one playlist. I think I understand how to do it if I was going to have one player with one playlist, but don't understand how to have multiple playlist in one xml file. Can you put multiple playlist on one xml file and the load the playlist I want in the page. Or do I have to create one xml file for each playlist? And if so how do I load multiple xml files on the module because it looks there is only space for one file. Like I said I have no background, so any help is appreciated.

Also, If all the playlist go on one file, can you give me a example that I can see that will help me make one myself.

Hello,

Only the advanced version have natively a feature where you can load multiple playlist in the player, this is made trough a formlist, we call that "multiple playlist" mode

Also (still only with the advanced version) it's possible to use the jwplayer api and a html list selection:
